Muirlands Village has mainly single-story, ranch-style homes built in the 70′s, some with ocean views. Owners’ children have easy access to Muirlands Junior High and La Jolla High, and residents stroll the sidewalks and walk to the Village, especially on Sundays when they visit the local Farmers Market at La Jolla Elementary School.
The Muirlands community is often recognized as one of the oldest and largest communities in the La Jolla area. Spacious estates with sweeping views characterize the “upper” portion of the Muirlands community. While within the lower part of the slope, homes tend to be single-family residences situated on terraced lots with ocean views.
Named for the beloved naturalist John Muir, the area of Muirlands in La Jolla is one of the most exclusive and desired in all of San Diego. Located on the western slopes of Mount Soledad, the Muirlands area of La Jolla is home to luxury estates and incredible views of the Pacific Ocean. The Muirlands section of La Jolla is often recognized as one of the oldest and largest neighborhoods with over 1000 residences. La Jolla Muirlands is a family-oriented community located within one of the best public school districts in San Diego, including La Jolla Elementary School, Muirlands Junior High School, and La Jolla High School. This coastal neighborhood is also minutes away from the beautiful Windansea Beach, La Jolla Cove, and La Jolla Shores.
